Groundwater Storm Damage in Gaithersburg
The Before Photo illustrates an area that had been flooded with contaminated groundwater in a Gaithersburg home. Upon arrival, our SERVPRO water damage technicians had little water to remove, since it had been several days since the flooding receded. The Black Water, containing pesticides, chemicals, possible fecal matter, and other unwholesome materials, required disposal to eliminate a health risk to the occupants. Following best practices, our crew performed a flood cut to removed the ruined lower sections of the drywall along with the carpet. The exposed studs, fur strips and block are being dried in the final stages with a centrifugal air mover. We monitor the drying until our goals are reached regarding material moisture content. We always spray a biocide product to ensure that lingering pathogens and other microorganisms are eradicated. Count on us to protect your property and your family with our treatment.
